Huthwaite CWS Cricket Clubs
The Huthwaite CWS Factory Sports Ground was first used for the summer season of 1932. Its location initially claimed to be inside Huthwaite boundaries on Sutton Road, until Parish plus Council boundary changes asserted it lay just inside Sutton town addressed on Huthwaite Road. A rather grand official opening of the Pavilion with golden key came next year. May 19th 1933 reportage notes attendance by one former employee named Mrs Larwood, although her husband Harold wasn't able to make guest of honour appearance after being invited to personally perform that ceremonial event.
