Actor Gavin Abbott was born in Huthwaite on 28th December 1968, a son of Roger and Bett Abbott. His recent homeward return as a single man claimed work stress as main reason for ending an acting career.
Gavin Abbott is credited in theatre performances, a 3 year tour from 2000 with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Movies include The Incredible Adventures of Marco Polo on His Journeys to the Ends of the Earth from 1998, a 2004 star role in Dirty War, and main casting in Catherine Cookson's classic Tilly Trotter dramatised 1999 for TV.
