A casual walk happened to glimpse this pile of builders equipment through glassed entrance door into the former Huthwaite Health Centre at 11 New Street. January 2017 was thus hinting at some forthcoming developments.
This medical practice had been vacated following 2013 opening of a vastly superior Brierley Forest Medical Centre. Although there's still no interest yet shown for the adjacently later sited pharmacy here, it was learned that after about 65 years service, this original NHS clinic would be converted into flats.
Presumably this was sold, leading to a private corporate enterprise, because September same year sighted near completion, when boards advertise sale of individual units specifically designed to suit elderly retirement homes.
