A great grandfather claimed and photoed an original addressed Mill House, when owning their small farm house which had long stood atop Mill Lane beneath a windmill.
A clipping shows some historic village professions circa 1889. Dated 1900 out a British Bandsman Magazine are members of a well established Hucknall Huthwaite Prize Band. Village transformations have greatly changed since adding All Saints church to its likewise named school, replacing classrooms where Blackwell Road pupils are shown 1923. The Railway Inn saw out our own train station, plus most other village pubs. Reverting to original naming, The Woodend was considerably extended.
