Thanks to the camera and work interests from electrician Mr Mick Bostock for revealing his workmates, records and unique scenes shot around and underground the New Hucknall Colliery. Mick allowed clear scanning of such a large collection, they merit ordered subject presentation after filling these linked preview gallery albums.
Embossed cover fronting this original photo album indicates the enclosed collection was presented by Plowright Plant to B.A. Collieries Ltd. Subjects focus on structural plant site interests, but some Huuthwaite miners may have been familiar with these pit yards.
BA Collieries Ltd was formed in 1936 through merger of the Babbington Coal Company Ltd and the Bestwood Coal and Iron Company Ltd. Joining those came Digby Colliery Company Ltd in 1937, same year they're shown sinking Calverton Colliery on 14th June.
